Die Casting

Presbar began using fully automatic diecasting cells back in the 1980's. This investment in our facilities led to the introduction of our first robotic cell (Photographed on the right) in the early 1990's. We have continued to develop our foundry, and use cells that offer a very repeatable process to produce 'capable' diecastings that are very low in labour content.

This offers cost savings to Presbar which we pass on to our customers.

We use Raydyne bulk melting facilities to produce our aluminium alloys. The use of these induction melting furnaces results in very homogeneous material that is better for subsequent machining.

We further safeguard the quality of our material by the use of 'in-house' spectrometers to monitor the chemical analysis of every batch we produce.
